• Mark your calendars for Thursday, Dec. 18 - special invitation-only post-parade gathering for our hard-working volunteers at The Regent in Riverview at 6 pm.

1. Parade Marshal - Need 30 Volunteers (4 pm check-in)

The Parade Marshal is responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and timely movement of participants throughout the parade route. This role includes enforcing safety protocols, providing information to participants and spectators, and supporting the overall flow of the parade. Help monitor the parade route and ensure the parade flow continues forward with no gaps exceeding 10ft-15ft between parade groups. Parade Marshals are key representatives of the event and help ensure a positive and safe experience for all involved. Physical requirements: standing for at least 2-4 hours, able to lift 15-20lbs. 

 

2. End of Route Marshal - Need 8 Volunteers (5 pm check-in)

Direct participants and vehicles to their designated locations at the end of the parade route. Physical requirements: standing for at least 2-4 hours, able to lift 15-20lbs. 

 

3. Staging Area Volunteer - Need 4 Volunteers (4 pm check-in)

Direct participants to their designated staging area or group leader.  Assist in organizing and lining up parade entries according to the pre-set order. Communicate with the Parade Coordinator regarding any no-shows or issues. Physical requirements: standing for at least 3-4 hours

 

4. Placement Volunteers Before & After Parade - Need 2 Volunteers (TBD)

Deliver trash bins to designated areas along the parade route. Place sponsor snipe signs along the parade route. Pick up trash bins after the parade is over. Deliver to the dumpster. Pick up snipe signs at the end of the parade. Physical requirements: standing for at least 2-4 hours, able to lift 15-20lbs.

 

5. VIP Reception & Grandstand Seating Area - Need 4 Volunteers, 1 of each role at each entrance. (4 pm check-in)

(2) Direct parking and (2) check in guests for the VIP/Grandstand area. Assist with clean-up/take-down of Grandstand & VIP area after parade is over. Physical requirements: standing for at least 2-4 hours, able to lift 15-20lbs.
